Without star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually secures them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their next match against Finnish KuPS ought to be enough to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
